Thailand Mulberry Papers
They are not necessarily from Thailand, nor are they usually mulberry, but that is what we call these hand-made oriental papers.  They have a limited popularity--ie those who use them order a lot.  Because they are hand-laminated to plastic backing, they run around $20 at wholesale, so you have to get a good price from your lamps to justify them.  There are hundreds of varieties, but only a few do well as lampshades.  We can send you swatches of these few.

Fiberglas
You probably don't want fiberglas, and we surely do not like to make them because the fiberglas is unfriendly to the skin.  But it is absolutely fire-proof, and available if you insist.  (Actually the glass part is fire-proof, the calcium coloring material does char, but will not burn.)
